Clay Walker was born and raised on a farm in Beaumont, Texas. He began playing guitar at age nine and performed in local honky-tonks during his teenage years. Walker’s first major break came in 1993 when his debut single, “What’s It to You,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard country singles chart. He quickly followed with “Live Until I Die,” also a chart-topping hit, establishing himself as a rising star in country music.
